during my thrilling wow raid tonight, which was composed mostly of wipes on malygos and an actual clear of sartheron’s hideout, i got the new ubuntu installed via wubi on both my old desktop and my laptop! with the exception of the new ubuntu not caring for my desktop’s geforce video card (i booted in safe mode and loaded a newer driver recommended by ubuntu – everything’s fine!) everything has worked spot-on so far!
maybe my more tech savvy readers will have an easy answer to my simple question, but why can’t more developers (cough microsoft cough windows 7) get their shit together like ubuntu did? does it really boil down to “mo money mo problems”???
ok. now it is entirely past my bedtime….

Software development isn’t my forte, but basically the ubuntu developers actually wanted to put their name on something they could be proud of. The Microsoft developers are mainly there for a paycheck. Really, if you did contribute to Vista would you want to admit it to anyone outside your family?
