let it be a sad, sad day…

when i don’t try to promote music to the readership of this site.   today’s band is Son Volt.  this is the video for “catching on” from their first album “trace”.  it was shot live for austin city limits sometime in 1996, if i remember correctly.  i saw it on youtube and i shouted with joy.  you can ask my neighbors about that.  this song is probably at least 11 years old now, but this particular song of theirs has a way of making me think i’m hearing it for the first time every time i hear it.  i think it’s the wavy guitars and 2 part harmony.  i’m a sucker for wavy guitars and 2 part harmony.  anyway, enough babble.  enjoy the music.
